SERVICES HELD TUESDAY FOR MRS. KIRKPATRICK

Mary Elizabeth Folker, daughter of John F. and Matilda Ross Folker, was born in Clark County, Missouri December 2, 1865 and passed away at the General Hospital, Salem, Oregon, November 7, 1941, age 75 years, 11 months and 24 days.

She was united in marriage to Dr. William J. Kirkpatrick July 7, 1888. They lived at Plano, Iowa about six years. Three children were born there: Mayme K. Hunt, John E. Kirkpatrick, Enaa Kirkpatrick, who died in infancy.

She moved to Farmington, Iowa in 1895 with her family, where she remained until two years ago when she went to California and Oregon.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was an active member of the Methodist church, Rebekah lodge, and various clubs.

Surviving are one daughter, Mayme K. Hunt of Alameda, Cal., one son, John Kirkpatrick of Farmington; one brother, E. J. Folker of San Pedro, Calif.; four granddaughttrs(sic) and two grandsons, Mary Elizabeth Laird and Josephine Hunt, Alameda, Calif., Virginia and Enna Kirkpatrick, and John and Joseph Kirkpatrick of Farmington; also numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from the Farmington Methodist church conducted by the Rev. H. E. Butler and the Rev. John S. Ellis. Interment was in the Farmington Cemetery.
