HOWARD C. KNAPP

Howard C. Knapp, 82, retired business man and farmer, died at his home near Donnellson at 4:30 o’clock Friday morning, June 13.

Born Jan. 23, 1870 at Warren, he was the son of Clark and Sarah Knapp.

As a young man he worked at Iowa State College in Ames and in Des Moines before taking up farming. In 1912 he moved to Donnellson where he was associated with the Donnellson State Bank and remained here until 1929 when he moved to Des Moines with the South Surety Insurance Co. He also served as circulation manager for the Des Moines Register and Tribune before moving to his farm home near Donnellson in 1930.

He had been in failing health for several __________cut off____________.
