Mrs. Harvey King

Lenna Belle Courtney, daughter of Frank Marion Courtney and Lucy Jane Christy was born September 29, 1885 near Anson, Missouri and passed away after a short illness at Graham Hospital November 27, 1955.

She spent her girlhood days near Anson and attended grade school in Clark Count and high school at Farmington.

On July 24, 1912 she was united in marriage to Harvey Kling at Kahoka, Missouri. To this union were born one son, Lewis Clark of Revere, Mo., and three daughters, Vera Maisie Martin of Revere, Verna Mae Vornkahl of Farmington, Iowa and Norma Louise Roberts of Kahoka, Mo.

She is survived by her loving husband Harvey, the four children, five grandchildren, Marilyn and Dennis King, Karen Vornkahl, Paul and Craig Martin. A sister Cora Jesberg of Farmington, Iowa; a brother, Calvin Courtney of Keokuk, Iowa, a daughter-in-law, Alma Walker King, three sons-in-law, Carl Martin, Marvin Vornkahl and Edward Roberts. Also several nieces and nephews, many relatives and a host of friends.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother. To know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed by her loved one, friends and neighbors.

She accepted Christ early in life and joined the Anson Church. Later in years she was a member of the Revere Community Church. Since she has resided in Kahoka she has attended the Kahoka Christian Church.

Her entire married life was spent on a farm north of Revere, with the exception of the last few years that she resided in their home in North Kahoka.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Benjamin Courtney.
