Grover C. Hobbs Dies In Texas

Grover Cleveland Hobbs, father of Joseph W. Hobbs, Manito, died Tuesday Dec. 15, at the convalescent home at San Biteno, Texas, where he had recently resided.

Mr. Hobbs, known in this community as “Cleve” was a native of Chandlerville, but had made his home at San Biteno for the past thirty years.

Rev. Joseph Hobbs was called to Texas Sunday, Dec, 13, by the critical illness of his father, and arrived in time to spend a day at hid bedside before he passed away.

Funeral services were conducted at San Benito Thursday, Dec. 17 (today) and burial was at that place.
