HARRY IRVIN HEATH

Harry Irvin Heath was born near Acasto, Clark County, Mo., July 30, 1867, the son of Richard and Emza Heath, who pioneered from Ohio several years earlier. He was of a family of eight brothers and sisters, all of whom have preceded him in death except one sister.

He was married Feb. 17, 1892, to Sadie Abernathy and to them were born one son and one daughter. He lived all of his life near his birth place with the exception of 3 years spent in Keosauqua.

He was an active farmer and always ready to help anyone in trouble or need.

He accepted Christ as his personal Savior in Feb. 1940, and was always faithful to testify to his experience and faith in Jesus, and was always happiest when singing hymns with his family and friends at his side.

Surviving are the wife, the son, Clarence heath with his wife, Bessie, of Mt. Sterling, Iowa, the daughter, Pearl, Mrs. Gilbert Bell and her husband; two granddaughters, Mrs. George Gould of Earlville, Ill., and Mrs. Chris Fox of Portland, Ore.; three great grandchildren, Christie Fox and Linda and Lori Gould; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Griffiths, of Farmington, Iowa; and a brother-in-law, Chas. L. Tennant of California, also a large number of nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. At the time of his death he had reached the age of 87 years, 6 months and 2 days.

Funeral services were held in the Acasto church at 2 p.m. Thursday in charge of Rev. Grover Senf, pastor of the Assembly of God church in Farmington, with burial in the Christy Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carol White, Friend Harness, Earl Folker, Albert Todd, Eston Nixon and Boyd Woods.

Music was furnished by Clyde Gaston, Thad Gaston and Mannie Baugher with Mrs. Junior Otte at the piano.
