James Leslie McIntosh

James Leslie McIntosh was born in Van Buren County, Iowa, November 7, 1890, and passed away at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, March 17, 1961. He was the son of Charles F. and Clara Wolf McIntosh.

On December 14, 1913, he married Ella Rugh, who preceded him in death November 25, 1956. Three daughters were born to this union: Mrs. Joe (Lavon) Keller, and Mrs. Arthur (Clara) Hyde, Jr., of Memphis, Missouri, and Mrs. Robert (Irene) Jamison of Lawton, Oklahoma.

Jim was a member of the Memphis Christian church and the Cantril Masonic Lodge. He lived in the Cantril community until his removal to the Memphis communtiy several years ago.

Besides his three daughters, he is survived by six grandchildren; three sons-in-law; one niece; six nephews; one first cousin, Dan McIntosh of Milton, and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at the Cantril Christian Church, March 19th, at 2 p.m. with Herbert C. Shaw, minister, in charge. The vocalists were Mrs. Jim Charbonneau and Mrs. Maynard Manske, accompanied by Mrs. S.E. Wellborn. Masonic rites were held at Maple Grove Cemetery.
