Mrs. Bessie Grubs of Leando Dies

Surviving Are Husband and 2 Step-sons;
Funeral Rites Held Wednesday Afternoon

Mrs. Bessie Grubbs died at her home in Leando about 5:30 o’clock Monday afternoon. She had been in ill health several years and suffered a stroke Friday morning.

Mrs. Grubbs, who was 49 years old, is survived by her husband Robert Grubbs; two step-sons, Glenn Grubbs of Ottumwa and Berdott Grubbs of Leando; two step-grandchildren; one half-brother and two half-sisters.

Funeral services were conducted at the Leando church at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. E. K. Parrott. Burial was at the Leando cemetery.
