Van Buren County Resident Had Lived on One Farm
More Than 50 Years: 10 Children Survive

Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Jane Trout, who died June 11 at Birmingham at the home of her sister, Mrs. Addie Hibbard, were held at the Mt. Moriah church at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon.

The final rites were in charge of Rev. J. C. Austin of Pittsburg, assisted by the Mt. Moriah singers.

Burial was at the Mt. Moriah cemetery. The bearers were S. A. Barker, Dale Morrow, John Edwards, T. O. Nutt, Elmer Park and Everett Boggs.

Mrs. Trout, the former Alma Jane Jones, was born in Van Buren county in 1859. She was married to Hiram Lewis Trout in 1879. To this union were born 11 children, one of whom died in infancy. Mr. Trout died in 1932. The couple lived on a farm south of Douds for more than 50 years and then moved to Leando.

Surviving are 10 children; J. E. Trout of Loveland, Colo., Guy Trout of Red Oak, Neal Trout of Sacramento, Calif., Will Trout of Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Bertha Roach of Redding, Mrs. Blanche Howard of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Mabel Knous of Fairfield, Earl Trout of Keosauqua and Fred Trout and Ray Trout of Douds.

Mrs. Trout also leaves 30 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Jones of Lincoln, Nebr., and Owen Jones of Douds, and a sister, Mrs. Addie Hibbard of Birmingham.
