HOWARD L. RATCLIFF DIED FOLLOWING HEART ATTACK

Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Pedrick Funeral Home for Howard L. Ratcliff, 78, with the Rev. M. D. Wyatt officiating. Music was by Helen Rose Gore and Helen Hootman. Mrs. Harold Harryman was pianist.

Burial was at the Mt. Moriah cemetery. Pallbearers included Vance Wiley, Aaron Fellows, Howard Ratcliff, Gerald Ratcliff, Ivan Ratcliff and Dale Ratcliff.

Mr. Ratcliff died following a heart attack while sitting in front of the Barker General Store in Douds about 12:30 Tuesday. And L. Fellows was one of the first to get to the stricken man, after he heard Mrs. Ratcliff call. Dr. W. C. Cummings was called and he died shortly after he got there.
