MISS EMMA DAVIS, 75, FUNERAL HELD SATURDAY

SELMA-Funeral services for Miss Emma Davis, 75, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Selma Methodist church with the Rev. Robert G. Farr in charge. She passed away Thursday evening, Feb. 3 at the St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa.

She had been a patient in the hospital for the past ten days, following the fracture of both of her hip bones. Her death was the result of a stroke.

Special music at the services Saturday was given by Mrs. Ed Dooley, Mrs. Clara Hayden and Robert Luce, with Mrs. Robert Luce as pianist. Pallbearers were nephews of Miss Davis. Interment was made in the Glasgow cemetery.

The daughter of Moses and Margaret Jane Davis, was born in Davis county, Iowa, May 12, 1873. She had been a member of the Bethlehem Christian church in Davis county since girlhood.

Surviving are four sisters: Mrs. Elsie Simmons of Santa Cruz, Calif.; Mrs. Rhoda Harward, Mrs. Martha Woods, and Mrs. Edith Henkel, all of Selma; and one brother, Allen Davis of Douds.

Her father, mother, brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
