DAVENPORT — Mae “Jo” Carson, 83, of Davenport passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Genesis East. A committal service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, in the Davenport Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at The Runge Mortuary. Jo was born April 7, 1930, in Farmington, Iowa, the daughter of Harley and Ella (Christie) Grimm. On June 30, 1962, she married David A. Carson in Davenport. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1998.

She was employed in the insurance business, retiring in 2009 from Trissel, Graham and Toole. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Davenport.

Survivors include her children and spouses, Kristy and Scott MacDonald, Davenport; Scott and Liz Carson, Bettendorf; Ricky and Marian Carson, Davenport; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Marvin.
