MRS. ELLA WILEY, 86, FUNERAL HELD TODAY

Final rites for Mrs. Ella Wiley, 86, lifetime resident of Van Buren county, were held at the Leando church today with the Rev. Robert G. Farr in charge. Special music was by Mary Pollock, with Lizzie Pollock as the pianist.

Interment was in the Leando cemetery with her nephews acting as pallbearers.

Mrs. Wiley passed away Tuesday, August 30, at 5:30 p.m. at her home in Douds, following a stroke of paralysis Sunday evening.

She was born in Keosauqua November 14, 1862, the daughter of Edward and Margaret Fasnacht. She married Wilson Wiley December 24, 1882, and to this union two children were born: Le Roy at home with his mother at Douds, and Lester who died when he was two years of age.

She united with the Christian church in Eldon in 1898. Her father was a Civil War veteran and his name appears on the veterans' monument in the Court House memorial park, Keosauqua.

She has lived in or near the Douds community all of her married life. Her husband, Wilson, passed away June 9, 1935.

She is survived by her son, Le Roy Wiley and two grandchildren, Mrs. L.C. Drysdle of Los Angeles, Calif., and Donald G. Wiley of Peoria, Ill., and a number of nieces and nephews.
