Apoplexy Fatal To Theo Fellows
**Handwritten: 1945

Died Thursday Morning At 11:00 O'clock While Working At A Neighbor's Farm.

Theo Fellows, 61, a farmer living northwest of Keosauqua, dropped dead this morning at eleven o'clock while working with several men at the G.E. York farm. The men were in the barn when a sudden stroke of apoplexy killed Mr. Fellows instantly.

The body has been taken to the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds pending further arrangements. He was born July 20, 1883.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Hendricks of San Francisco, Calif., and Mrs. Charlotte Reddick at home; two sons, Aaron Fellows of Douds and Gerald Fellows with the Seabees in the Marshall Islands; two brothers, Ray Fellows of Red Bluff, Calif., and Asa Fellows of near Keosauqua; two sisters, Mary Jamison of Ottumwa and Mrs. Lizzie Hackart of Kansas City, and four grandchildren.

THEO DWIGHT FELLOWS

Theo Dwight Fellows, son of William and Lovenia Fellows, was born on a farm near Leando, July 20, 1883, and departed this life March 15th at the age of 61 years, 7 months and 25 days.

On November 2, 1904, he was united in marriage with Mary Ratcliffe of Douds.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ratcliffe Fellows; four children, Willa Hendricks of San Francisco, Calif., Aaron Fellows, and Charlotte Reddick of Douds, and Gerald Fellows, now serving his country somewhere in the South Pacific; two sisters, Mary Jamison of Ottumwa and Lizzie Heckart of Kansas City; two brothers, Ray L. Fellows of Red Bluff, Calif., and Asa L. Fellows of Keosauqua; five grandchildren, Billy, Clara and Teddy Fellows and Sally Hendricks of San Francisco, Calif., besides many other relatives and a host of friends.

Mr. Fellows, along with others had gone to Gilbert Yorks, a neighbor, to assist with dehorning work and was stricken suddenly.

He was greatly interested in livestock, had made considerable study of their ailments and treatment and was frequently called to give assistance, being familiary called "Doc."

When a boy Theo united with the Methodists and remained throughout life a firm believer in the Christian faith.

He also was affiliated with the Maconic Lodge of Douds where he had been a member for some 25 years.
