(MRS) HUGH FINDLAY

Bertha Alice, daughter of Stewart and Rosanna Ratcliff Hanshaw, was born Dec. 15, 1880, near Douds, and departed this life Tuesday April 8, 1958 at Kirk's Nursing home in Agency.

On Oct. 24, 1900, she was married to Hugh A. Findlay who preceded her in death May 17,1948. To this union were born four sons, George, Claude, Craig and Max, all of whom survive. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Laura Bought of California; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her parents, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Findlay's life was spent in the Douds vicinity until 1940 when she moved with her husband to Agency. For many years she had been a member of the Mount Moriah Methodist church, and was active in its Ladies Aid society as long as she lived in this community.

Services were held Friday, April 11, 1958 at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral home in Douds, with the Rev. David Pease officiating. Interment was in Mount Moriah cemetery.
