ROSS O. SHAFFER.
**Handwritten: 49SELMA.-Ross O. Shaffer, 65, died Wednesday at 11:20 a.m. at his home near Selma after an illness of several months.
The son of Sam and Sylvia Parson Shaffer, he was born April 21, 1884, at Douds. His marriage to Ora Erskine of Selma took place January 26, 1909.
Mr. Shaffer is survived by his wife; two sons, Paul of Libertyville and Kenneth of Muscatine; one daughter, Mrs. Ben Smith of Knoxville; two brothers, Harry Shaffer of Oklahoma and Charlie Shaffer of Douds; one sister, Mrs. Edward Kniecht; and four grandchildren.
The body is at the Rupp funeral home in Eldon, where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m., in charge of the Rev. Robert G. Farr of the Selma Methodist church. Burial will be in the Eldon cemetery.
