R.L. Schlotter, Accountant, Dies
**Handwritten: July 23, 1946Russell L. Schlotter, 59, a public accountant in Ottumwa for the past 20 years, died at 1 p.m. today at the St. Joseph hospital. He had been ill for eight weeks.
Mr. Schlotter came here from Omaha, where he was employed by a firm of accountants. He was a member of the American Institute of Accountants, and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. His offices were in the Fidelity bank building.
Mr. Schlotter was born in the Selma vicinity. The family lives here at 421 North Hancock street.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Sgt. Keith Schlotter, with the marines in China, and Ralph Schlotter of Fairfield, and one brother, Glenn, of Omaha.
The body is at the Jay funeral home.
