JASPER S. PLOWMAN.
Douds, April 21.-Jasper S. Plowman, pioneer citizen of this community, died at the home of his son, Gilmore, Tuesday, at the age of over 85 years. Mr. Plowman had been in failing health for some time but his death came suddenly and unexpectedly while he slept.
He came to this state at an early age from Ohio. In 1868 he was married to Margaret Shaffer, who preceded him in death seventeen years ago. To this union were born four children, Mrs. Matie McKenstry of Washington and D.S., A.J., and Gilmore of Douds, all of whom survive him. He is also survived by one brother, William.
Funeral services were held at the Leando Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. C.R. Rowe. Interment was made in the Leando cemetery.
