Mrs. Frank Knecht

Mary Genevieve Elsensohn, daughter of Francis and Sarah Elsensohn, was born near Douds, Feb. 25, 1893, and passed away at the St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa, Iowa , August 12, 1948 at the age of 55 years, 5months, and 17 days.

On Nov. 6, 1912 she was united in marriage to Frank F Knecht of Douds.

With the exception of two years in Washington, her life was spent in Douds and vicinity.

Surviving are her husband, Frank of Douds, four children, Kenneth of Douds, Harold of Galt, Calif.. Joseph of Corning, Iowa and Sara at home; six grandchildren; four brothers, Lawrence of Ridgefield, Wash., Edward of Douds, Williams and Frank of Ottumwa.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at the St. Eloysuis church in Eldon with Father Wm. V Snell as celebrant of the requiem high mass.

Burial was made in the Leando cemetery.

The following were pallbearers: Tom and Joe Sexton, S.A. Barker, William Barker, Harold Stump, and Jack Boyer.
