Rambo Funeral Was Held Today

Funeral services for Kenneth Monte Rambo, 31, were held at the Keosauqua Methodist church today with the Rev. E. Allen Magill in charge. Special music was give by Glenn Williams, Ora Williams, Homer Dalrymple and Keith Gaston.

Interment was in the Purdom cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph McKowen, Ray Randell, Lawrence Daughrity, Dixson Arnold, Jerry Clapper, Dick Perkins Dennis Newman and George Breeze.

Monte Rambo, the son of Rex and Bertha Rambo, was born in Keosauqua in August, 1917. He had spent his entire life in this community.

On January 3, 1939, he was united in marriage to Margaret Swiers, who survives. At the time of his death he and his family were living on a farm near Keosauqua.

Besides his wife, Mr. Rambo is survived by two sons, Scott, 8, and Artie, 6; two daughters, Laura Jean, 4, and Linda Kay, 18 months. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Bertha Rambo, Keosauqua; two brothers, Vinton, Harrisburg, Pa.; and Lawrence, at home; four sisters, Mrs. George Nickle, Ft. Madison, Mrs. Harlyn Beatty, Ames; Mrs. Ronald Wendel, Maxwell; and Alice Jean, at home. His father preceded him in death about 10 years ago.
