ELIAS HECKART.

DOUDS.- Elias Heckart, 82, well-known farmer and banker of 1 1/2 miles east of Selma, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.E. Jackson, at New Sharon. In poor health for a month, he had been visiting his daughter.

He had spent the past half century in this vicinity. He was vice president of the Farmers and Traders bank at Douds and was a member of the Leando Methodist church and the Knights of Pythias.

Besides Mrs. Jackson he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. J.E. Ferguson of Wichita, Kan.; a son, Harlan, of Selma; a sister, Mrs. George Vawter of Mutual, Okla., and a brother, W.P. Heckart of Vici, Okla.

The body is at the Pedrick funeral home in Douds. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Leando church. Burial will be in the Leando cemetery.
