MILTON J. CAMPBELL

Milton J. Campbell, passed away at the Scotland County Hospital at Memphis, Mo. on July 29, 1973. He had been a patient in the Scotland County Nursing Home for about two years.

Mr. Campbell was born on January 28, 1892 at Milton, Ia., the son of James Allen and Mary Luella Helsel Campbell. In 1921, he was united in marriage to Marie Scotten, who preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons, William of Burlington, Iowa; Jack of Tucson, Arizona; five daughters, Mrs. Vivian Roberts of Milton, Iowa.; Betty Taylor of Bettendorf, Ia.; Donna Millier of Gila Bend, Arizona; Patsy Ash of Wapello, Iowa and Marguerite Casady of Las Vegas, Nevada, 15 grand children and six great grand children.

He had served as a mail carrier for the Milton Community, and later on, after moving to Burlington, Iowa, he served as a maintenance man for the Post Office there. He was a veteran of World War I.

Funeral services were held in Milton United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 1, 1973, with Rev. Dale Church officiating under the direction of the Wellborn Funeral Home of Milton. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton.
