MRS. LULU SPEES
Mrs. Lulu Spees, 75, Van Buren county resident who resided on a farm near Birmingham, died Wednesday, April 14 at a hospital in Davenport where she had been a patient for the past three weeks.
She was born Jan. 29, 1890, in Illinois, the daughter of James and Florence Hanawalt Fisher. When she was a small child the family moved to a farm near Birmingham.
On Jan. 1, 1914, she was married to William G. Spees of Birmingham, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Cony?? and Edward Spees, both of Birmingham; and two daughters, Mrs. Julia Neuhart of Bettendorf and Mrs. Reba Mae Vogel, Minneapolis, Minn.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 17 at 1 p.m. at the Catcott Funeral home, Keosauqua, with the Rev. Wayne Lowry officiating. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield.
