MRS. ADA SCOTT DIES IN KEOKUK
Farmington-Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Scott were held Wednesday afternoon, May 23 in the Croton Methodist church. Following a long illness she died May 21 in a Keokuk hospital.
A native of Lee county, she was born in Croton, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Batten. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.
Fifty years ago, in 1901, she was married to Winfield Scott, who preceded her in death as did a sister and three brothers. Survivors are several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, the late Winfield Scott, was a well known pioneer resident of Bentonsport where he had lived for many years prior to locating at Croton.
