DAISY SHEETS

Daisy Sheets, daughter of George W. and Mary Frances Godown, was born Dec. 5, 1884 in Van Buren county and passed away at the Van Buren County Memorial hospital in Keosauqua on Saturday, Dec. 22, at the age of 78 years and 19 days. She has been a heart patient at the hospital for five days and had been inpoor health for several months.

She was united in marriage on Feb. 4, 1903 to Elzie L. Sheets, who preceded her in death on July 16, 1954. With the exception of 11 years of her life, she resided in Van Buren county, moving to Milton in 1929.

She was a member of the Milton Methodist church and faithful in attendance when helath permitted.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John Oaks of Milton; one grandson, Larry Oaks; one brother, Walter Godown of Milton; her son-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 27 at 2 p.m. at the Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton with Rev. Richard Eis officiating. Burial was in the Sunnyside cemetery (in) Milton.
