Daniel G. Donald, a resident of Union township for a long time and later of Stockport, where he died of consumption Friday, June 16, 1899, was buried Sunday last, the interment being in cemetery about 2 miles east of Birmingham. The cortege, which was very large, left his late residence in Stockport at 10 a.m., Sunday and went to the Union church near his old home, where services were conducted by Eld. Robert Smith of the Stockport Christian church. Mr. Donald was born in Pennsylvania in April, 1836, and in early manhood he settled in Union township, this county. He leaves a wife, also several children all grown, and the respect in which he was held is shown by one of the largest funerals ever held in that part of the county, there being 111 teams in the procession that accompanied the remains from the church to the cemetery.
