ORION PRICE MEEK

Orion Price Meek, son of William Price and Jessie Pearson Meek, was born April 10, 1892, at Winchester, Iowa, and passed away April 9, 1941 at his home. Had he lived another day, he would have been forty-nine years of age.

He spent his entire life in the Winchester community as a farmer on the home place where he was born.

He was deeply interested in the affairs of the community in which he always took an active part. His chief interests were in his work and home. He was always a helpful neighbor and a true friend and will be greatly missed by all.

He was united in marriage with Miss Etha Jackson on October 20, 1915, and to this union was born one son, Harold. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, son Harold and wife Rachel, one brother Wilmer of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service at Winchester Friday at 2 p.m. was conducted by the Rev. F.M. James of Keosauqua, with burial in the Winchester cemetery.
