FORMER RESIDENT NEAR DOUDS DIES
**Handwritten: 1931Eldon, Aug. 5 - Mrs. Sarah Caroline Jackson, 82 years old, died at 1 a.m. today at her home on a farm ten miles west of Ottumwa after a month's illness.
She is survived by her husband, W.W. Jackson; her son, Paul Jackson; two brothers, George Gilbert of Douds and Charles Gilbert of Ottumwa, and two sisters, Mrs. Sam Lucas of Eldon and Mrs. H.E. Stubbs of Orenco, Ore.
Before moving to the farm west of Ottumwa the Jacksons had lived at Douds for many years. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Campbell funeral parlors in Eldon, with the Rev. Will Heager of Selma in charge. Burial will be in Iowaville cemetery.
