Brother Aged 87 and Sister Aged 86, Die Within 48 Hours of Each Other

Friday morning, November 11, 1921, at 6:30 occurred the death of Eli D. Bell, a pioneer of Van Buren county and a highly respected resident of Keosauqua aged 87 years.

Sunday forenoon relatives here received word of the death of Mrs. Rachel Bell Jackson, aged 86 years, sister of Eli D. Bell, at the home of her son in Oberlin, Kan., Sunday morning, Nov. 13, at about the same hour her brother died Friday. Rachel Bell grew to womanhood and resided with her parents on the farm near Keosauqua until she was united in marriage to Minos Jackson, when they moved to Kansas, where she has since made her home. Her husband preceded her in death several years. Her remains were brought to Eldon Monday, where funeral services were held Wednesday, November 16. Burial near Floris beside her husband. An obituary will appear later.
