MRS. JESSE MARSHALL

Dora Elma Colvin, daughter of Cyrus and Martha E. Colvin, was born Feb. 9, 1871, in Pike county, Ohio, and died at her home near Stockport Jan. 13, 1932, aged 60 years, 11 months and 4 days.

On April 25, 1895, she was united in marriage with Jesse Marshall. To them were born 12 children: Earl W. of Des Moines; Mrs. Charles Cecil of Milton, Ernest of Stockport, Mrs. Frank Barker of Ottumwa, Mrs. Jake Vicars, Ray Marshall, Mrs. Thomas Lowe and Theodore Marshall all of Stockport; Mrs. Lea Beggs of Ottumwa, Pauline, Roscoe and Clarence at home.

She also leaves an aged mother, Martha Colvin of Leando; three sisters, Mrs. A.W. Davis of Fulton, Kansas, Mrs. Anna Bacus, Mrs. Seth Harper, and a brother, Ed, all of Missouri. A sister, Nellie, predeced her in death at the age of 10.

Eighteen years ago the family moved to Stockport and have made their home in the same place.

Mrs. Marshall has suffered much for several years, but her last illness was very brief and her sufferings are past.

Years ago she united with the Christian church in Keosauqua and has always been a follower of her Lord. The stricken family have a rich inheritance in her faith in the Lord.

Dearest Mother, thou has left us,
An our loss we deeply feel,
But tis God that has bereft us,
He can all our sorrows heal.

The funeral was held in the Leando M.E. church. Burial in the Leando cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. M.D. Wyatt of Douds.
