Mrs. John Hull

Margaret Ann Black was born in Davis county, Iowa, June 1, 1866, and died April 2, 1914, at her home in Lebanon, Iowa.

She was married to John Hull Feb. 12, 1880, at Douds, Iowa. To this union were born eleven children, Dan of Lebanon, Mrs. Clarence Mathias of Keosauqua, Mrs. Ben Boyd and Stephen Hull of Ottumwa, Zula, Goldie, Claudie, Loman and Lester of Lebanon and two infant sons who preceded her in death. She is survived by two sisters in Missouri, one in Washington and one in Ottumwa, and five grandchildren.

Although frail in body, she was ever ministering to the necessities and comfort of not only her family but to all around her. Her lovable disposition made everyone her friend who knew her, and to know her was to lover her. She confessed her faith in Jesus, and while her last days were full of suffering, her mind was clear and her faith triumphant to the end. She knew the Lord and as she drew near the end she was anxious to depart and be with him. Her life was a blessing to all who knew her.

The esteem and love in which this devoted mother was held was shown by the concourse of relatives and friends who so largely attended at the funeral which was held in the M.E. church at Leando. The funeral services were conducted by Wm. Heger and interment in the Leando cemetery.--Contributed.
