AGNES WELTHA ELSENSOHN
**Handwritten: 1921

Agnes Weltha Elsensohn, daughter of Edwin and Weltha Elsensohn, was born near Douds, Iowa, Jan. 23, 1921, and departed this life May 12, 1937, at the age of 16 years, 3 months and 19 days.

She united with the Leando M.E. church at the tender age of 9 years, later transferring her membership to the Fairfield M.E. church, and was a faithful attendant at church and Sunday school whenever her health permitted.

At the age of 12 years she moved with her parents to Fairfield where she attended high school, but owing to poor health was forced to finish the last semester of the Sophomore year at home by correspondence.

Ages was always ready to help those that needed it and her kindness and patience has won her many friends that will mourn her untimely death. So with bowed heads and sad hearts we submit our wills to Him, who doeth all things well and resign ourselves to know that we shall meet but we shall miss her.

She leaves to mourn, her father and mother; three sisters, Mrs. Erma Stearnes of Libertyville, Iowa, Mrs. Frances Spees of Minneapolis, Minn., and Madelyn, at home; one niece, Carol Ann Stearnes; one grandmother, Mrs. Sam Roush of Selma. One brother and a sister preceded her in death. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends who will miss her loving smile and kind words that made her loved by all.

Funeral services were held at the home Friday, May 14, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Moore of Douds, and burial was in the Leando cemetery. The music was furnished by the Leando Ladies' quartet and was very impressive.
