Death Comes To Young Woman At Bridge Table

MRS. ELSENSOHN.

Death came suddenly to Mrs. Lucille Steward Elsensohn, 24 Saturday at 10:30 p.m. as she sat playing bridge in her home, 1945 East Main street.

Mrs. Elsensohn had been engaged in Christmas preparations earlier in the evening and apparently was good health as she played cards. Suddenly she slumped in her chair, died from a heart attack.

O.H.S. Graduate In 1931.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Steward and was born in Ottumwa April 10, 1914. Mrs. Elsensohn was graduated from Ottumwa high school in 1931.

She was married to Floyd R. Elsensohn July 29, 1936. Mrs. Elsensohn was active in the Ottumwa chapter, No. 112, O.E.S., and was past worthy adviser of the Order of Rainbow for girls. She was a member of the East End Presbyterian church.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Joan Lucille, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Steward, and her grandfather, Martin Maaskant of Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services Tuesday.

Services will be in the East End Presbyterian church Tuesday at 2 p.m., conducted by the Re. W.J. Creswell. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.

Burial services will be given by officers of the Ottumwa chapter, No. 112, O.E.S.

Pallbearers will be Everett Mosier, Ben Steele, Fred Moss, Clarence Nelson, Fred Bullock and Clarence Reedquist.
