Floie Harryman Rodgers

Floie Harryman, only daughter of Wm. H. and Martha Harryman, was born near Douds, Iowa, Nov. 8 1869. After completing her education at Keosauqua, she taught in the public schools of Van Buren county until March 3, 1892, when she was united in marriage to Charles C. Rodgers.

To this union were born five children, two daughters, Mrs. Nellie B. Troutman and Mrs. M. Marie Augspurger and three sons, Glenn W., Stanley C. and Clarence W. all of whom together wth(err)her husband survive her. She also leaves to mourn her untimely departure four brothers, Francis S., Wade H., R. Waldo C. and Seth S. Harryman; three grand daughters; also a host of relatives and friends.

At an early age, she united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Leando, Iowa, and later transferred her membership to the Troy Methodist church, where she was a faithful member until her death.

After a lingering illness of several weeks following a serious operation, she departed this life at the University Hospital at Iowa City on November 22, 1930, being 61 years and 14 days of age.

She was a devoted wife, a kind and loving mother, and will be sadly missed in her home and community.
