Monday, July 30, 1984Goldie Horn dies suddenly
BIRMINGHAM - Goldie Mae Horn, 88, of Montrose, formerly of Birmingham, died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday in the emergency room of Ft. Madison Community Hospital where she had just arrived by ambulance. She had entered the Donnellson Nursing Home on Friday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Charles McCracken officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home.
The daughter of John and Minnie McCall Ford, Mrs. Horn was born March 14, 1896 at Winchester. On Nov. 20, 1915, she married Brace Horn at Ottumwa. They live in Libertyville and Birmingham. He died in 1951 and she moved to Montrose in 1964.
Surviving are a son, Cecil of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Audrey Lewis of Montrose; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Three brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Horn was a Presbyterian.
