Thomas B. Bartholomew, 76, of Stockport died early Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, at his home.
Visitation was held Sunday. The body has been cremated. Burial of the cremains in Center Chapel Cemetery, southeast of Keosauqua, will be held at a later date. Memorials may be left at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
Mr. Bartholomew was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Van Buren County, the son of Henry and Elva Cox Bartholomew. He married Edna Wiley Oct. 5, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. She died Jan. 11, 2000.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European theater. He had been employed at Douds Stone, Inc., Raid Quarries and Dexter Co., retiring in 1985.
Survivors include five sons, Henry T. and Calvin Bartholomew, both of Keosauqua, Gary Bartholomew of Stockport, Dale Bartholomew of Fairfield and Charles Bartholomew of Iowa City; six daughters, Judy Newlon of Keosauqua, Darlene Brown and Rita Reid, both of Stockport and Connie Denison, Nancy Bartholomew and Susan Parish, all of Arbela, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Jesse Morris and Norma White, both of Keosauqua and Catherine Whitney of Fairfield.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, triplet sons, three grandchildren and six sisters.
