Obituary of Wm. H. Akey

William Henry Akey, one of Van Buren county's pioneer citizens, passed to his reward Monday evening, May 20, 1929. He was born in Stark county, Ohio, April 19, 1843. Being at the time of his death 86 years and one month of age. He was a son of Peter and Mary Akey.

One brother, Edward Akey, departed this life in 1922, and his sister, Sarah Akey, in 1924. He leaves to mourn their loss two nephews and six nieces, besides a large circle of friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, May 22, at the Pedrick funeral parlors in Douds, in charge of Rev. J.C. Austin. Burial Valentine cemetery.
