Ray Hootman, 59, of Winchester, Ky., died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Birmingham Presbyterian Church. Following the service, a graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice East of Winchester.
Mr. Hootman was born Aug. 17, 1841, in Mount Zion community of Van Buren County, the son of Clem and Ina Dille Hootman.
He was the youngest of 12 children and a resident of the Birmingham community until 1974 when he moved to Lexington.
He was a supervisor of Rockwell Corporation in Fairfield for many years. In Kentucky, he was supervisor of Dura Corporation and then Rex Roth Corporation for the next 23 years. He golfed, camped, fished and watched his grandsons play baseball.
Survivors include his wife Judy; three daughters, Tami Armstrong and her husband Jeff of Henderson, Tenn., and Tina Ragland and her husband Dale and Candace Fry, all of Lexington; four grandchildren; one brother, Keith Hootman of Sawyers, Okla.; and four sisters, Eileen of Scottsdale, Ariz., Eva Johnson of Fairfield, Sherrill Dowd of Mount Pleasant and Elna Greenfield of Birmingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Harold, Dean, Don, Rex and Verle Lee; and one sister, Reva Dossett.
