Death of an Old Citizen.

Mr. William Cumming Morris was born in Harlan county, Kentucky, March 9, 1825. He with his parents moved to Iowa in 18?8. He was married to Sarah Evans, June 15, 1848. She died August 12, 1972. May 24, 1874 he married Hester L. Culberson, who died July 26, 188?. Mr. Morris united with the M.E. church in 1858 and was a consistent member until his death. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Anderson, at McVeigh, Ia., July 7, 1900, being 75 years and 4 months old. The funeral was held Tuesday from the Morris church, Rev. Lloyd Tennant assisted by Rev. Payne of Keota, conducted the services. The funeral was one of the most largely attended of any ever held in that community.
