-Mr. D.H. Moore, treasurer of Van Buren county, died at the home of his daughter at New London, Ia, Saturday at noon. Mr. Moore has been quite sick for some time but was well enough so that about six weeks ago he went to visit his daughter. He gradually grew worse, and was not able to return. Last week the family thought they could bring him home, but he was so much worse when the time came they could not move him. He was taken to Birmingham, their former home, Sunday and the funeral was held there Monday forenoon. He leaves to mourn their loss, a wife and two daughters, Mrs. D. Brown of New London, and Miss Bessie, who is now at home. Mr. Moore was a very efficient officer and an agreeable gentleman and will be missed in the community. He was a member of the M.E. church. Quite a number from here attended the funeral.
