Leslie Albert Watts

The service for Leslie Albert Watts, 95, of Fairfield, who died at 9:05 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 1993, at Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery at Bonaparte. Family visitation will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to First Presbyterian Church.

Watts was born Dec. 20, 1897, in Bonaparte, the son of Frank J. and Lottie Ray Watts. He married Winnetka G. Hansen on Nov. 7, 1923, in Bonaparte. She died Dec. 3, 1982. He farmed for 40 years and in 1956 became a Fairfield school custodian, holding that position until 1971. he was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Clinton Masonic Lodge 15 AF and AM.

Survivors are a son, Carl A. of DeLand, Fla.; a daughter, Mary Jo Knafla of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
