Death of Mrs. A. Wilkin.
**Handwritten: KEO. REPUBLICAN 7 SEPT 1899

Della Grace Kittle Wilkin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.K. Kittle, deceased, was born Sept. 30, 1860. She was married to Capt. A. Wilkin Dec. 8, 1897, died Sept. 2, 1899, being at the time of death 38 years, 11 months and 28 days old. Mrs. Wilkin had been in failing health for the past two years, and a short time ago began rapidly to decline and passed away Saturday evening, Sept. 2, at 8 o'clock, loved and respected by a host of friends. She leaves a husband and infant babe, two sisters and two brothers, besides more distant relatives, to mourn their loss. She was a consistent member of the Christian church in Keosauqua, where her funeral was held at 2 o'clock Monday, in charge of her pastor Eld. G.A. Hendrickson, assisted by Rev. Patterson. The impressive burial services of the Easter Star, of which she was a member, were held at the grave. A large audience of people were present to pay their last tribute of respect. We can truthfully say, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."
