Emily Mullen.

Emily Mullen was born in Little York, Pa., 83 years ago, and died at the home of her sister, Mrs. L. Meredith, in Keosauqua, Thursday night, Oct. 19, 1899. She moved with her parents to Sistersville, Va., when a child. In early womanhood she moved to Belleville, Ill., where she lived with her parents until their death in 1854. She then lived with her brother until his death, when she came to Keosauqua, in 1880. Her mother was a member of the Presbyterian church, to which faith she held. She was the eldest of 10 children, seven of whom have preceded her home. The funeral service was held from the residence of Mr. L. Meredith on Saturday, Oct. 24, conducted by Rev. R.L. Patterson of the M.E. church.
