Opal Johnson, Stockport, dies

STOCKPORT - Opal G. Johnson, 66, of Stockport, died suddenly at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Jefferson County Hospital where she had been a patient about one week.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stockport United Methodist Church with the Rev. E. E. Niederhuth officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery. Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Johnson was born Nov. 25, 1915 in Sicota, Ill., the daughter of Lora E. and Stella Clark Hall. She married Robert O. Johnson Nov. 11, 1933 in Macomb, Ill. He died just two weeks ago on May 16.

Surviving are two daughters, Twila Keller of Fairfield, Barbara Giberson of Stockport; one son, Bobby Jr. of Fairfield; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Ernest Hall of Monmouth, Ill.; two sisters, Lois Mason of Macomb, Ill., and Faun Pender of Fairfield. Her parents, two brothers, a sister and a grandchild preceded her in death.

Mrs. Johnson had lived in the Stockport community for more than 50 years.
