Sidney Parker Bridge.

Sidney Parker Bridge, youngest son of James and Emma Bridge was born in Bonaparte, November 29, 1872, and died July 19, 1912.

He grew to manhood in the town of his birth, and after his school days were over was employed in the sorting department of the woolen mills. In his 21st year he went to Aurora, Ill., coming home in the fall of that year to cast his first vote for president, returning to Aurora after a few weeks visit with his parents and friends.

From there he went to Urbana, Ohio and in November, 1898, he was united in marriage to Miss Iva Parks and to them six children were born, all of whom with the faithful wife and mother survive him.

During the years since leaving Bonaparte he has been employed at his trade in several states, going from Urbana, Ohio to Jamestown, N.Y., where the oldest daughter was born, and from there to Fitchburg, Mass., where the eldest son, James Bridge, was born. For a short time he was employed in Cleveland, Ohio, and finally settled in Piqua, Ohio, where he has been employed for a number of years as superintendent of the sorting department of the Orr Blanket and Felt Mills of that place.

His last homecoming was to attend the funeral of his father in April, 1905. Although not enjoying good health for some time, the telegram bringing the news of his sudden death came as a great shock and surprise as we had hope of his restoration to health.

Beside his wife and children there remain to mourn their loss, his mother Mrs. Emma Bridge of Bonaparte; two sisters, Mrs. Lee A. Cox of Vernon Center, Minn., and Mrs. Clay Ketcham of Farmington, Iowa; together with many other relatives and friends. The burial was made near the late home at Piqua, Ohio.
