George Acklam, an old and highly respected citizen of Lee county, living about three miles east of Farmington, died March 20th, at 12 o'clock at the extreme old of 92 years. Too much cannot be said of Mr. Acklam's good qualities as a citizen and an honorable man. He located on the farm where he died, a great many years ago. His daughter, Miss Francis, is the only child to mourn his loss. His remains will be laid to rest in the Acklem(sp) cemetery march 22 at 2 p.m. . . . {The Modern Woodmen camp will give an entertainment March 29 at their hall over the Zanese implement house . . . H.P. Doeling and E.H. Rockwell purchased a cab. This will be something new in Farmington in the way of a vehicle}
