DIED.-Tuesday, Oct. 25, 1898, at her home on Castle creek, Mrs. G.W. Paul at the age of nearly 64 years.

Death has just left the sad work in the happy home of Mr. G.W. Paul, one of Owyhee's respected and honored pioneers of early days, by marking as its victim, his dearly beloved wife and companion of life. Mr. Paul and wife were among the first to make a home in that section, where for 28 years past, theirs have been the home of generous hospitality-theirs the fireside around which stranger and guest alike found warm welcome and friendly cheer. Mrs. Paul was a woman of kindly disposition, warm and generous hearted, ready at all times to do those loving acts of kindness which made her home an ideal one, and won for her many close and warm friends. While a sad death, leaving the home full of sorrows, and desolate, it must have been a welcome one to her, for she had long been suffering from that relentless disease, a cancer; and from which there was no hopes of recovery.

The interment took place in teh cemetery at Oreana, attended by a large number of friends and acquaintances who deeply mourned her loss.
