The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Aylor, whose death occurred at her home in Keosauqua Sunday evening, was held at her late residence Wednesday afternoon, the 4th inst., being in charge of Rev. C.E. Perkins. Besides relatives there was a large attendence of old friends and neighbors. The coffin was embanked in flowers, tributes of affection from many who had known the excellent woman long and who respected and esteemed her highly. A quartet, consisting of Mesdames Patton and McCrary and Mssrs. McCrary and Perkins, sang "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me," "Asleep in Jesus," and Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." The burial was in Purdom cemetery.

Elizabeth Pender was born near Bonaparte, April 3, 1848. At the date of her death she was aged 71 years, 1 month and 28 days. She was married on the Anson farm, below Keosauqua, Sept. 18, 1871, to Henry Aylor, and had lived her entire life in Van Buren county.

Mr. and Mrs. Aylor were the parents of three children, all of whom, with the husband, survive the mother and wife. The children are Miss Hattie Aylor, Cass R. Aylor and Mark L. Aylor. She is survived also by six grandchildren, by a sister, Mrs. Hannah Delaney of Bonaparte, and a brother, Ellsworth Pender of Omaha, Neb.
