Death of Byron George

On Friday, July 30, 1915, Byron George died at his home in Nevada, Missouri. The body was brought to Bonaparte and buried Tuesday, August 3, funeral services being held at the home of his mother Mrs. Nannie George, Rev. P.H. Hawk of Farmington in charge. He is survived by a wife and two daughters. About a month previous, his brother C. L. George died at Bonaparte and was buried there. For a number of years Byron conducted a drugstore in Bonaparte and about thirty-five year ago he moved to Keokuk and was there for seven or eight years, part of the time assisting his brother Dr. George who published the Keokuk Constitution. He moved from there to Nevada, Mo., which had been his home for twenty-seven years. Had he lived until November his age would have been 67. He was a good citizen.
