**Handwritten: 1918George A. Booth died very suddenly Tuesday afternoon, January 15, in Des Moines. He was entering the door of the Cut Rate grocery store at 217 Walnut street, Des Moines, when the clerks noticed him clutch at his chest and fall. When they came to his side he was dead.
Mr. Booth had been employed for several years as bookkeeper for the Kratzer Carriage Co. Mr. Booth and family were residents of Bonaparte for several years, he having been engaged in the grocery business here and was also for a time in the employ of the Meek Bros. Co.
He went from here to Des Moines, locating at Highland Park, where they bought property which is still the family home. Lester, the oldest son, is located at Charles City. Paul, the second son, who for several years was employed in the RECORD shop, is now living at Salt Lake City. Dorothy has a position as stenograper in the Highland Park College; and Dick or George Jr., works for an insurance company in Des Moines. The wife and mother, Mrs. Lizzie Brown, Booth, and his father, Chauncy Booth of Farmington, and a brother, Ed Booth, also survived his untimely decease.
