Young Strander Dies Here.
Frank B. Davis, a brother of Mrs. Harry Worden, of our city, came here on August 30th, from Eddyville, where he had been working upon a railroad. He had been ill with fever and immediately took to his bed, at the home of the above-mentioned sister. One day last week he was stricken with partial paralysis, grew worse and worse, and died Sunday evening, Sept. 9th [1900]. He was 21 years and 13 days old at the time of his death, and leaves a father, mother, (in very poor health) three sisters and four brothers. The remains were taken Tuesday by rail to Eagle Grove, Iowa, where his parents reside, for interment, the funeral occurring Friday. Six Modern Woodmen to which order deceased belonged, acted as pall-bearers, escorting the body to the station here.
